High-Volume Production: 7x EHLA Systems for Wind Energy
Project Background
The customer aimed to produce large volumes of wind turbine bearings in a cost-efficient location (China). The critical challenge was to establish a mass production line that could guarantee absolute repeatability and high quality, matching the standards of their European operations.
The Hornet Solution
To ensure capacity and reproducibility across continents, Hornet supplied 7x identical Turnkey Systems. We implemented a sophisticated "Master/Slave" configuration:
- Architecture: A "Master" machine in Europe defines the process parameters, while the 7 "Slave" units in China execute them.
- Precision: A specific correction factor applied between each Turnkey System guarantees a 1:1 parameter transfer.
- Control: This setup ensures that the process is centrally controlled, eliminating local variations.
Operational Outcome
The customer has achieved a highly stable and scalable production environment. The fleet of machines currently operates 16 hours a day, 6 days a week, delivering consistent results with little to no rejections. This proves that high-volume remote production can be achieved without compromising on quality.
